Adam's Apple Detroit MI is a safe space where everyone’s welcome, owned by trans women who infuse it with love and pride. I dropped by and felt the judgment-free zone vibe, especially during Thursday karaoke nights where voices soar and spirits lift. The bar skips food but shines with a diverse drink selection—classic cocktails and local brews at reasonable prices, keeping the atmosphere lively yet relaxed. It’s a place where your glass stays full and your heart feels full.

The events here are the heartbeat—regular themed nights and community gatherings, like the Detroit Invasion headquarters, foster a sense of belonging. I joined a lively crowd, mingling and soaking in the festive spirit, which regulars say keeps them coming back. Reviews echo this love—a patron called it “that little hole-in-the-wall for the GSRM/LGBTQIA+ community!” while another cheered the “personable owner and funny bartender.” The small patio adds a charming touch.

Swing by Adam's Apple Detroit at 18931 W Warren Ave to experience the magic—open 12 PM to 2 AM daily, it’s a late-night haven. With its inclusive vibe, vibrant events, and friendly service, this Detroit treasure is a must-visit—go sing, sip, and connect today!

Bar in Dearborn Heights, Mi. Technically, I guess it's in Detroit. Warrendale. Cozy, odd little place. Haven't been here in at least ten years. They could do with a better lit parking area. Met my cousin and her girlfriend for drinks. Have to admit not much has changed. It appeared everyone accepting is welcome and enjoying themselves. It gets a bit loud. But, it's a bar. The place is clean, as are the bathrooms. 08/24

Very welcoming and inviting staff and drinks are strong and cheap. Karaoke with Karen was great too!

Low key watering hole in Dearborn near my hotel. Not overtly friendly, but low key, respectful, and relaxing. "Tall" drinks 5 bucks each and a bargain. Seems have free food and potlucks to patrons. Nice, clean atmosphere as well.

Great place. It's that little hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bar, but for the GSRM/LGBTQIA+ community! Owners have made lots of improvements over the years since buying it from the previous owners. They've especially improved the bathrooms and the patio! The owner and manager take pride in their work, as they were regular patrons before owning it! They want to make sure everyone feels welcome. Don't forget to check out karaoke on Thursday nights with Best of Detroit WDIV winning host KJ Karen.

Great patio! My friend and I were able to socially distance from others. I didn't get a great view of the inside but it looked like a typical dive bar to me. Drinks were dirt cheap compared to the Chicago prices I'm used to.

In addition to being an awesome neighborhood gay LGBT bar, the Adam's Apple is the premier Trans bar / TS bar in Detroit. It's even owned and operated by a couple of lovely trans ladies. No bar in Chicago can say that! Definitely the go-to place if you're ts, trans, a tgirl cd crossdresser, or an admirer (aka chaser lol). The quarterly Detroit TG Invasions are based out of here too, google it! It has a real low key friendly neighborhood gay bar feel, where it's easy to carry on a conversation, not like a noisy dance club. Gigi's just down the street is a Detroit institution, and still a great place on TS/TV/CD Saturday nights with the drag show, but any other night of the week I'll go to the Adam's Apple. Better yet, hit both places on a Saturday night, lots of tgirls will hit the Apple first, then head over to Gigi's. Drinks at the Apple are cheap and pretty strong, and this place is actually open til 2am every night, unlike a lot of places that will close early on a whim. My favorite bar in Detroit, bar none.
