Adam's Apple Reviews

Very welcoming and inviting staff and drinks are strong and cheap. Karaoke with Karen was great too!

Low key watering hole in Dearborn near my hotel. Not overtly friendly, but low key, respectful, and relaxing. "Tall" drinks 5 bucks each and a bargain. Seems have free food and potlucks to patrons. Nice, clean atmosphere as well.

Fun place great bartenders If you're looking for a friendly corner bar that's inviting to all that's it.

Comfortable, fun, unpretentious, everybody is welcome here. Food on Sunday afternoons when the place is usually packed.

Very friendly staff, it's a nice mix of ages By the way, not too young not too old. It was goooood

Great place. It's that little hole-in-the-wall neighborhood bar, but for the GSRM/LGBTQIA+ community! Owners have made lots of improvements over the years since buying it from the previous owners. They've especially improved the bathrooms and the patio! The owner and manager take pride in their work, as they were regular patrons before owning it! They want to make sure everyone feels welcome. Don't forget to check out karaoke on Thursday nights with Best of Detroit WDIV winning host KJ Karen.

Great patio! My friend and I were able to socially distance from others. I didn't get a great view of the inside but it looked like a typical dive bar to me. Drinks were dirt cheap compared to the Chicago prices I'm used to.

In addition to being an awesome neighborhood gay LGBT bar, the Adam's Apple is the premier Trans bar / TS bar in Detroit. It's even owned and operated by a couple of lovely trans ladies. No bar in Chicago can say that! Definitely the go-to place if you're ts, trans, a tgirl cd crossdresser, or an admirer (aka chaser lol). The quarterly Detroit TG Invasions are based out of here too, google it! It has a real low key friendly neighborhood gay bar feel, where it's easy to carry on a conversation, not like a noisy dance club. Gigi's just down the street is a Detroit institution, and still a great place on TS/TV/CD Saturday nights with the drag show, but any other night of the week I'll go to the Adam's Apple. Better yet, hit both places on a Saturday night, lots of tgirls will hit the Apple first, then head over to Gigi's. Drinks at the Apple are cheap and pretty strong, and this place is actually open til 2am every night, unlike a lot of places that will close early on a whim. My favorite bar in Detroit, bar none.

Bar in Dearborn Heights, Mi. Technically, I guess it's in Detroit. Warrendale. Cozy, odd little place. Haven't been here in at least ten years. They could do with a better lit parking area. Met my cousin and her girlfriend for drinks. Have to admit not much has changed. It appeared everyone accepting is welcome and enjoying themselves. It gets a bit loud. But, it's a bar. The place is clean, as are the bathrooms. 08/24
